The Apple iPhone 13 – Should You Buy It?

The all new, highly anticipated iPhone 13 is finally here. With pre-orders available from 17 September and the official launch hitting the markets on 24 September, the wait is finally over! What better place to have a look for some amazing new phone and tablet deals than OneTech Gadgets?

Four Models To Choose From

Apple have released not one, but four new iPhone 13 models to choose from, something quite out of character from the company, despite usually only releasing models of different storage capacity or colour. Starting with the iPhone 13 mini which is the cheapest of the four newly released iPhone 13 mobile phones costing a cool £679 for 128GB of storage. That is a phenomenal amount of storage akin to the iPads released years ago, but Apple understands that there is a real need for this capacity.

You then have the base iPhone 13 model, which starts at an increasingly steeper price of £779 for the 128GB model. Apple have also release a pro version and of course, if there was a mini, there had to be a max. Both these models come in at a staggering £949 and £1,049 respectively for the base 128GB models.

 

What’s New?

At a quick, first glance you might not spot a whole lot of differences between the iPhone 12 and the new iPhone 13, given that the display size is the exact same. However, all four models boast a much brighter OLED display, but should you decide to go for the pro model, it has a few extras and is the least expensive of the four models to implement Apple’s all new ProMotion technology.

What is that you might ask? Well, ProMotion will offer an awesome variably refresh rate which will adjust between 10Hz all the way up to 120Hz, meaning it is sure to be among the top gaming phones.

 

The iPhone 13’s have included a much larger battery, which means you won’t have to be glued to the charger ensuring that you do in fact, get a full day’s worth of use out of your phone. The iPhone 13 mini is sporting a slightly bigger battery than that of its predecessor the iPhone 12. Now, Apple claim that you should hopefully gain an extra hour and a half worth of battery life.

Meanwhile, the gigantic iPhone 13 Max and its 6.7inch display in all its glory has a huge 4,352aH battery providing a whole two and a half hours’ extra battery life compared to last year’s iPhone 12 Max, which only sported a 3,687mAH battery. If you’re looking for daily longevity of the life of your phone, then the iPhone 13 is definitely worth the upgrade.

Of course, how could we forget the obvious camera updates. Apple claims that the all new iPhone 13 models can shoot some of the best photography taken on a smartphone. All four models feature Apple’s sensor-shift stabilization technology which only the previous iPhone 12 Pro models had.

There is also the cool addition of a 12MP f/1.6 aperture primary lens making the phone one of the best low light smart phone camera’s on the market with the Pro version having a 12MP f1.5 aperture lens.

 

 

The iPhone 13 has maintained the three lenses including the wide angle lens and telephoto lens and allowing for 15x digital zoom. If you want to save some money on a DSLR camera, the iPhone 13 Pro should do the trick.
