In Android circles Asus has been better known for being one of the world’s top three consumer netbook suppliers and award winning developers of motherboards. There laptops and netbooks are renowned for offering unprecedented gaming experiences and all round business performance, catering for both spectrum of users.
In 2011 Asus saw the launch of the Padfone as a marker in Andriod history, but not one that took off with consumers, if you have not heard of the Padfone it was an attempt at a hybrid device offering both an Andriod smartphone which slots into a tablet doc becoming a 10.1 inch tablet, even with its dual functionality it never really became a game changer for the brand, not like we are seeing in 2015 with dual OS (operating system) tablets.

Design and Build Quality
The Zenfone 2 is very standard in terms of screen size 5.5inches IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, excelling in its richness and deep colours. The display is great with good viewing angles but lacking brightness at times when being used in or outdoors, much like any phone really. Weighing in at 170g, this is not the lightest of smartphones, but the look and feel do outweigh the negatives. The Zenfone 2 is incredibly slim at only 3.9mm edge thickness, making it very easy to hold. With an ergonomic arc design this phone really fits snugly in your hands, usability is improved with small changes as mentioned above like volume and camera snapping action buttons on the back of the device.

What should be mentioned is the ability to charge at 60% in less than 60 mins which is a pretty amazing feature and one that trumps leading brand phones like the apple Iphone 6!
On-board Cameras & Speakers
The Zenfone 2 ’s 13 megapixel camera is fantastic, locking focus for sharp precision shots, capturing 400% brighter photos at low lighting and nigh time shots. 18 different auto modes are included with the device, and a manual mode allowing for control over colour temperature, exposure ISO, shutter speeds and the need for a flash.
